What's best recovery for lower back?

I recently pulled my lower back and being the dumb ass I am kept working out on it, etc. I need to let it heal effectively but not sure the best way to go about it. Ice packs? I'm reaching that age where the lower back is not something I can just keep ignoring lol.

I went to a chiropractor

I went to a chiropractor yesterday, it was my sacroiliac joint, thx to Archangel for awarin' me brah. I still had a bit of pain and soreness afterwards, but I went home and slept on an icepack and I'm almost completely back to normal. I'll be going in to see him on Monday as well
