i know that some of you are heavily into fitness, and healthy eating so i was wondering what kind of diet are you on? i gained a bit of fat in the last nine months, and i'd like to get back in shape. my goal is to lose about 12 pounds in 2.5 months. i was previously lean, and that's what i want to get back to.

so i was wondering what kind of diet would you recommend + what are good sources of information for that, and for recipes. right now i dont care about eating optimally for sport perfomance, i just want to lose weight in sustainable and 'permanent' way. also what kind of activity would it be best to couple this with? im thinking of running every second day, and perhaps getting back to the gym in final stages to tone my muscles a bit again.

I balance veggies and water

I balance veggies and water with energy drinks and junk food to about 50/50.

Usually eat veggies/healthy stuff right after waking up and before going to bed.

Salad out of a bowl like chips, wadup

You gotta see how your diet

You gotta see how your diet affects you personally. I used to try to the whole 6 small meals a day thing then I got real busy and shit and ended up just eating big meals when I had the time. That shredded me down a bit. Also, in terms of exercise stomach vacuums along with front squats and deadlifts have really brought out my abs and gave me a lean look I never had before. I've been stengthenting my deep abdominal wall which has improved my posture and made me look thinner around the waist.

also, just controlling stress tends to help me stay lean.

Chicken, hard boiled eggs,

Chicken, hard boiled eggs, fish, apples, coffee. I make a pretty mean salad but the problem with salads is they're rabbit food. I just can't get into rabbit food I need meat. Oh yeah I eat a fuckload of tuna. Fucking love tuna! I'm currently pretty damn ripped, trying to get below 10% body fat. Patrick.Bateman's helped me out quite a bit with that. I make sure I exercise every day somewhat strenuously. Currently completing the 100 pushup challenge, doing P.B.'s hanging ab workouts, running a lot, plus several dance classes a week and I've got  a BOB punching bag in my home office I beat the crap out of every day. Practicing different kicks and hits. I like to stay ninja

Well Alpha I think you have a

Well Alpha I think you have a very realistic goal,

Ask yourself what is your metabolism like? The best way to lose weight is to lift. Your body will put the calories you eat to good use. Dont worry about weight, focus more on muscle definition/ looking ninja.

Anyways regardless of how hard you "bulk" (it is always bulking season), it is important to always eat CLEAN. Boiled chicken. Steamed brown rice. Lean Protien. TUNA nom nom (Make sure to squeeze out the water, has lots of preservatives in it) All natural Peanut butter. Post gym make spinach, greek yogurt, fruit smoothies (w/ protien obvi).  Eat egg whites for breakfast. When you want to snack on shit, rather than eating carbs you can eat anything that has CELLS in it. Like natural food. Bananas, apples, celery/ carrots. Basically turn into a swoll rabit. You can have the prefix I approve. Really basic stuff. Good youtube chanel I like for fresh cooking is Michael Kory Fitness on yt. Check that stuff out.

Instead of running all the time, I reccomend you start playing BASKETBALL. It will get you way leaner than just running.

Hope that helps a little because honestly this post is like wtf did I just type

EDIT: DURRW WATER!! That has such a huge impact- drink at least half a gallon of volcanic water a day. The alkalinity is good for you bro.

EDIT2: Ya and somethiing dope like Dance classes or yoga, basically anything that gets you closer to being like Chris Brown is a good call in life.

MW, I would advise you to

MW, I would advise you to take a couple of days a week where you do absolutely nothing (except maybe for fucking :P), as training "strenuously" every day will tax your body and nervous system and might hinder your progress in the long-run.

some good tips here, thanks a

some good tips here, thanks a lot. i did dive into some information online in the meantime and came across 8 week program running that seems very reasonable - alternates types and lenght of running (uphill sprints and jogging) + it recommends to do weight lifting in the meantime. i currently cant do lifting as i have extremely tense muscles in my back (basically unresolved childhood shit i am working on... but it keeps getting tense) and i'd block myself within one session (tried that in the past). joga could be pretty good though.

i was wondering about one more thing - how you deal with snacks guys? basically some quick food when you don't have time or inbetween bigger meals. i used to eat bread with cheese, canned beans or some apples but i dont think that the first two will mesh very well with a diet.

Nope, I train 3 days per week....

I usually wake up around 10am.... Black coffee at noon or 1.... Some fruit around 4pm. Big chipotle meal around 6pm.... Chocolate almond bar by Green & Blacks at about 9ish... Then some pop chips at 11 or 12. Sometimes I'll even add shredded cheese on the chips and microwave it so it melts mhmmmm

Intermittent fasting is the

Intermittent fasting is the way to go, there's no fucking way around it.

You just gotta have the commitment to do it, especially if you're in a 9-5 role everyday.

how long have you been doing it, and did you try to take a break from that? could you keep your weight during periods of normal eating?

that actually sounds easier than the whole 'breakfast  - snack - lunch - snack - dinner' thing. especially if you want to eat heatthy which mostly means avoiding restaurants. i currently work from home so i cook for myself but i plan to do a different job soon... so i have no idea how i am going to deal with this. what are your solutions?
