Yo MW - what up brotha.  Looks like your coaching is keeping you busy ;)  Life is good for me right now, got my mindset back - I'm well on my way to being a multimillionaire again and getting laid is just a byproduct of life.  Felt like reciprocating, so I decided to put up a post on business mindset for you and your students.  Trust life is treating you well and business is flowing.

"Financial success really is one of the greatest forms of spiritual expression there is"

What's up guys.  I trust Manwhore has been suggesting Eckhart Tolle and meditation to boost your game, as it definitely will.  While meditation is not necessary for success, having control of your thoughts and mind IS.  Not just for pickup, but for every aspect of your life - IF you desire to be successful in anything you decide to do in life.  Meditation is just a tool for obtaining that control - the same way as learning to use your mind correctly.

Who is this guy?  And why is he qualified to give me advice on how to use my mind?!  I'll give a little feedback on my life thus far and what I've been able to achieve, and how.  I was forced into making money at a young age while still in college - it was put into my mind that I had to make money and be rich, or die.  So when I was 20 years old, I set about making money on my own, without help from anybody along the way.  That first year, when I was 21 years old, I had amassed $60,000 into my bank account.  The following year I made over 250k, had a million by the time I was 24 and multimillionaire by the time I was 26.  Not just from one business, but a variety of different businesses.  The following years, the economic depression hit, and while I wasn't affected directly, I did become comfortable with what I had achieved.  I had made it that far in my life, On My Own, but began letting in other people's lack thoughts and set about losing all of my money in the following years.

I set about figuring out what it was that made me naturally successful with business in the past, and why it was that I lost it all, and more importantly - how to get back to the way I used to think that had made me rich in the first place.  If you don't know, I'm telling you now, that money and making money is all about Mindset - has nothing to do with luck or business/economic circumstances.  This is best explained by example.  If you want to be rich, you don't study a poor person, or ask other unsuccessful people how to get rich.  You study a successful person and emulate - as change happens from the inside-out.  Take a look at all the most successful entrepreneurs today and throughout history - I've studied them and I've found that all have certain characteristics in common.  I'll refer to this as Business or Success Mindset.  They have total control over their minds, their thoughts and emotions.  They don't allow negativity in their lives as there is no room for it.  They focus on only the positive / beneficial thoughts in life.  They may disagree with things, this is normal, but when they do, they do so without an emotional attachment to their opinion.

Money is a thought, an idea - it's a form of energy.  Energy Is - Matter Is Not.  Obtain a successful person's mindset, and success in whatever you set about to achieve, is Certain.  Everybody is born with a naturally successful mindset, we just lose it over time as society and 'other people' teach us the wrong ways to think.

Until you have control over your mind, the way you feel, and how external circumstances affect your life - you will Never be successful - I promise you this.  On the other hand, if you learn to control your mind, take steps to ensuring you keep that control, and set about life in the right way - I promise that your success will be Certain.  In anything you decide to do in life, if you follow these core principles, your success will be easily achieved.

Anyway, if you're into what Jon teaches, you're on the right path and you have a huge advantage over other people - congrats for that ;)  If you also meditate or listen to Eckhart Tolle, the mind control thing should be second nature.  The only problem with Eckhart's teachings that I've found, is that he does not put an emphasis on teaching people to stay unidentified - he doesn't put together a practical formula for controlling your mind on an ongoing basis, how to catch yourself forming new identities.  As example, when I first started getting into Eckhart's teachings I became really present and good at 'no mind' - but what happens is, you lose your old mental identity and then you form a new one as this 'enlightened' present to the moment type of person who already 'knows' this stuff.

Alright, some practical stuff you can use.  If you follow and Apply these principles throughout your life, I promise that success in anything you set about in life will be easily achieved.  This is not something that is learned overnight, it takes time, persistence and a lot of personal lessons to become great.  I'm nutshelling what I know about Mindset, how I used it to become successful and how I see other successful people using it.

1. Take control of your mind.

You can meditate on a daily basis - many successful people do this already - but it isn't necessary, and doesn't really accomplish anything to just 'clear your thoughts' for 20 minutes straight.  A good way to take control of your mind is by practicing a Habit of Gratitude on a daily basis; to bring in feelings of gratitude regularly.  Try this out right now: think of a memory that you have in your life, something that makes you feel really good when you think about it.  This is Your memory, so it can be anything - close your eyes and think that thought.  A time when you were purely happy and completely in the moment and hold it for 15 seconds...... 1.... 2.... 3....

It's okay if you couldn't do it, most people can't their first time, as most people in life are unconscious, living in a waking sleep.  The distraction that comes in and stops the thought is your ego.  Just work at it if you can't do it, and keep practicing until you can hold that positive thought for 15 seconds - it may take a day or so to get it, that's fine, just keep practicing.  All successful people KNOW what success feels like, they can bring that emotion in an instant, as it's a feeling.

Your subconscious mind doesn't know the difference between something imaginary and something real.  When you visualize an event that happened in your life, the same neurons fire as if you are actually experiencing the event.  This technique is very important to have for many different reasons that I'll get on to later.  Right now, it's just important to use this as a technique to regain control of your mind.

The next step to taking total control of your thoughts is to take that positive thought and hold it for 15 minutes, without interruption.  It sounds difficult, but I'll show you a way to obtain this easily:  begin by writing down all the memories you are grateful for - things you are so thankful and lucky to have experienced.  These can be things in the future as well - like taking delivery of your brand new Ferrari ;)  When writing this list - you should feel good, really good.  Avoid anything that makes you feel negative.  After you have your list, sit down for 15 minutes go over this list.  Think about each memory for as long as you can - really feel them, picture yourself there again in the 1st Person, as if it's happening around you, every little detail.  Eyes closed or open, doesn't matter, just the emotions of feeling Grateful, so Lucky to be experiencing that again.  Important Step:  towards the end of your 15 minutes (anywhere up to 30 minutes or more, as it feels really good if you do this right) - afterwards clear your mind and just be present.  No thought, but completely aware of everything around you.  This is No Mind.  Your brain will shut off after feeling so good and just wait for you to give it the next thought to feel good about.

Doing this every day for a few weeks or months, you will form a habit of feeling grateful and lucky for the things you have, have experienced, and will experience in your life.  When you feel this good on a regular basis, your subconscious mind goes about bringing more events into your life to be grateful for.  Think the movie Limitless - our subconscious mind is very powerful and the ideas in that movie aren't too far off.  As a byproduct of practicing this Habit of Gratitude, you create this impenetrable force shield - you become Indestructible to criticism, negative feelings or ANY negativity at all in your life - you feel good all the time and events and situations in your life are always positive and geared towards you.  In fact, negativity only makes you feel better; the worse things seem to get, the more serene you feel.  Your subconscious can basically bend your outside reality to match your dominant thoughts and emotions.  This isn't some meta-physical bullshit, this is actual science - I'll cover the neuroscience in more detail later.  I don't experience negativity anymore, I may notice it, but never lasts in my presence - and any outcome I desire in any kind of situation that life throws at me, I get.  Simple as that.

Practicing a Habit of Gratitude every day for a few weeks or months is all that's needed to take control of your mind fully.  After this, it is possible to only do this once every few weeks, or whenever you feel you need to top off on your positive energy.

Another thing - live outside of your comfort zone.  You're all students of the game, you know this already - apply it.

2.  Up-keeping control of your mind and removing negative thought structures.

If you've read Anthony Robbins' Awaken The Giant Within, you're probably familiar with questioning your beliefs, the things you Know and the way you feel about things.  There is no better tool for keeping control of your mind, thoughts, emotions and 'beliefs' than by questioning yourself and removing all negative thought structures from your mind.  You can begin this by asking yourself every time you have a thought, "is this thought helping me or hurting me?"  It sounds crazy, but you must ask yourself as if you are speaking to your ego - if you've learned anything from Eckhart Tolle, you are not your mind.  Your mind is a tool to be used, and put down when you are finished using it.  Your thoughts are not you, your thoughts are ego based, and they are consisted of only the experiences you've had in the past, they do not know anything else.  When you question yourself, your 'beliefs', the things you Know and the way you feel about stuff, be sure to address your ego as if you are speaking to IT.

We are our subconscious minds, not our conscious egoic thoughts --- our subconscious does not understand words the way our conscious mind does, as words are an inefficient form of communication.  Go out and speak to any girl - this is proof enough - it doesn't matter what you say, it matters how you say it, the energy you feel behind those words is what really matters.  Trippy how all this pickup stuff, present moment spirituality, and Success Mindset have so much in common, right?  If you don't 'believe' this subconscious mind stuff, start off by asking why you feel that way.  Questioning everything you know to be true is the best way to upkeep control of your mind and not allowing your ego to slip in through the back door and forming an identity without you knowing - this works like poison for your success, as you feel you already Know something.

Knowledge is not power, Applied Knowledge is Power.  You do not Know something, until you APPLY IT and continue to apply it.  It should be blasphemous to use the word Know if you are not applying what you 'Know'.  Spouting off about how to lose weight and eat healthy does not do you any good until you actually practice what you preach.  Sorry fat dudes.

Okay, some practical stuff.  Remember this:  Judgment is Weakness.  Observation is Power.

Anytime you notice yourself feeling bad, anxious, worried, stressed, depressed, any form of negativity - stop and notice the present moment, appreciate where you are and then re-evaluate the circumstance from this calm perspective.  Ask youself how is this thought helping me?  If it isn't helping then why keep it?  If it is helping, learn the lesson and avoid emotional attachment.

NO THOUGHT STANDS STILL.  Every thought you have in your mind, either takes you towards your goals in life, or away from them.  All goals in life are ultimately happiness...  Begin evaluating every thought that you have, ask yourself, "is this thought helping me?"  If a thought is not helping you achieve your goals in life, it must be hurting as Nothing Stands Still.

Anytime you notice yourself judging somebody - ask yourself, "why did I judge?"  "In what way does judging this person benefit me in any way?"  Don't criticize or form opinions in your mind, just listen and Observe your reactions.  e.g. - "a negative thought about another person is caused by my own insecurities - how does that make me feel?"  Just observe your emotional reactions.

Judging is something that we do unconsciously - it happens all the time, WHEN, you are not in control of your mind.  Putting energy into a thought about why somebody is doing something wrong is not helpful, and it is not something that happens in the mind of a successful person.  "One of the marks of excellent people is that they don't compare themselves with others, they only compare themselves with themselves and with their past accomplishments and future potential" -Brian Tracy.  A good way to notice yourself judging, is to just pay attention to what you think about other people - driving in your car, somebody is driving too slow for your preference - stop yourself judging them and ask yourself why did I judge - why do I feel I need to judge other people?  Does putting energy into feeling angry or annoyed help me in any way?

If a thought is not helping you, it must be hurting you as Nothing Stands Still.  Consciously agree with yourself to let it go.  Be grateful for the opportunity to notice you were not Present, and move on.

There are many other tools you can use to stop yourself from thinking destructive thoughts - one of the greatest lessons I learned along my path to regaining my Mindset, is that you cannot delve into and out of negativity at your leisure.  When I first heard Eckhart's The Power of Now - and it really is a Power - I used that power of presence to attack other people, use it as way of getting back at other people who "deserved it".  The power of presence is Very powerful.  Take a look at all the world leaders today and throughout history who have used fear and other tactics of negativity to keep people submissive.  It is true that only an unconscious person can be controlled, but it is also true that only an unconscious person will attempt to manipulate.

I've studied rich people - successful entrepreneurs - the people who become successful once, and then obtain it Over and Over again, from scratch.  They don't always use their existing business connections or hookups to get new businesses rolling, they use their existing knowledge, wisdom and mindset to make a new business successful.  One thing that all successful people have in common, is that they don't allow in negativity.  They don't think negative things about others, and they don't feel negative emotions for themselves.  They see positive outcomes, and work in ways to bring about positive outcomes for themselves until they achieve it.  Failure is merely an opportunity to begin again more intelligently.  What happens when you get blown out of set?  Do you cry and get upset?  No, you pick yourself back up, learn the lesson and move on to the next girl.  Begin to accept your mistakes as opportunity to learn.

I can't really emphasize this one enough - Don't Delve Into And Out of Negativity - in any aspect of your life.  Somebody pisses you off - Surrender to it, Allow it, Accept it - ask yourself if feeling that way helps you in any way - it doesn't.  See the beneficial / positive thought and move on.  This is scary to some people, but trust me when I say that Surrendering is the most amazing tool you have at your disposal - you effectively practice alchemy by turning base metal into gold.  When you master this technique, you can turn any negative situation into a positive one - until they begin to stop from occurring altogether...

Always see a positive outcome for others, only ever think of forgiveness - this is very powerful, and again, when you feel or think of negativity - this is neuroscience and quantum physics I'm quoting, you know, guys in white coats who work in laboratories - a negative emotion or thought is a message to your subconscious mind that you want more of that emotion, it will go about working for you in ways to bring you more of those negative emotions.  Only ever think of forgiveness - see a positive outcome for all who you meet - practice a Habit of Gratitude all the time - you can never do this enough, you should always be Delighted with yourself.  Your subconscious goes about bringing those emotions into your life via successful opportunities and events in your life.  When all you think about is your business and life success, those are the events you will receive as your positive emotion.  And some more neuroscience here:  negative emotions are actually DAMAGING to your frontal lobes over time, like brain damage.

Whatever energy we put out into the universe, comes back to us multiplied.

Okay, I'll put in a little more practical advice here - something you can use in any social interaction.  When speaking to another person, feel Gratitude - focus on that feeling while the other person is speaking.  Be genuinely interested in what that person has to say.  Always go to give.  See a positive outcome for that person as you are interacting with them, you'll notice as you have that thought, they might smile as their subconscious receives that message from you.  You can sit there and just smile at another person while they do all the speaking, and afterward they'll think you're great, but they won't know why because you never really said anything ;)

To put this technique in perspective - you can use this when speaking to clients/customers, job interviewers, whoever - when you master feeling your inner body when interacting with another person, everybody enjoys you, and you get treated like a King.  When you are present in an interaction, you have access to your intuition, inspiration and true creativity.  Okay, some more neuroscience - when you feel Gratitude, a very specific part of your mind is activated - that part of the mind is also activated in the people you interact with.  They mistake that feeling for seeing you as somebody they like, someone they trust and enjoy.  Think about all those self-made billionaires in the world - a lot of them started off as measly sales people... food for thought.

This has a lot in common with NLP - Neuro Linguistic Programming - why do you think you feel so good and inspired when you listen to somebody like Anthony Robbins?  Again this is neuroscience, not spiritual bullshit.  Words mean nothing in human society, our feelings behind those words, and our subconscious minds working behind our conscious thoughts are the true value in our society and life.  You have to be GENUINE with your emotions or this does not work - everybody has a powerful subconscious mind, and will pick up on any bad intention on some level.  Be genuine in your feelings when interacting with another person - feel Gratitude in every cell of your body - you will be loved, admired, respected and followed.

Other questions to ask yourself frequently, "Am I present to the moment?" (hello, yes you are) "I wonder what my next thought is going to be?"  "Am I at ease with this moment?"  "What's going on inside me right now?"  "Is there joy, ease and lightness in what I am doing?"  Feel any bad stuff = unconsciousness.  Feel only good stuff = presence.  Never judge anything or form opinions.  Judgment is Weakness.  Observation is Power.  Let go of hoping, wanting and waiting.  Learn to live from a state of Allowing.  Acceptance of what is.  'Your subconscious knows what's best for you so relearn to be guided by your intuition - with this is mind, you can now go and look foward to whatever happens to you... whatever slows you down... as these will ultimately end up having been sent to help you.'

The Thought Freedom Technique.  You are looking to remove all traces of pain and negativity from your mind, and by doing so, you are left only with feeling good - you aren't 'trying' to feel good, it's just that there's no more pain.  What you are doing by using this method of attack is using the same weapon your ego uses against you.  You are not giving it a chance to latch onto any thought it can use to hurt you.  Example:  1) identify the current thought: "that person doesn't like me"  2) does this thought make me feel good or bad? It makes me feel bad  3) Is it helping me? No, it holds no benefit to me at all to think that - consciously agree with yourself to let it go.  By practicing this, you are effectively running an anti-virus in your mind that catches any thought that doesn't help you.  You catch negativity the moment it pops up, and you consciously choose not to allow it into your mind.  It's that simple.  Nothing Stands Still.  Any thought that doesn't help you, is hurting you and taking you away from your goals.  It's not like you're suppressing feelings, you're looking directly at them and dealing with them, you choose that it holds no benefit to your life - and you choose to let it go.  This simple thought technique holds a lot of power.  By monitoring and choosing which thoughts are allowed into your mind, you effectively stop all the thoughts that make you feel bad from ever entering your subconscious.  This one thought technique alone has power enough to change your life and everybody else you ever come in contact with.  You cannot and should not ever 'try' to change people, but what you can do is demonstrate in front of other people how you think.  Those who see and are ready for change, will follow - this is Being The Change.  This is true Leadership.  Can you imagine what life would be like if you just stopped letting in the thoughts that felt bad, and instead only let in the thoughts that feel good?  Can you feel how powerful just this one thought structure is?

Okay, I put a lot here as this Mindset and Re-Tuning stuff is a very big thing and takes some effort to achieve (it's easy if you allow it to be), but once mastered, you are unstoppable in life.  Learn to control your mind, then learn to upkeep that control on a daily basis.  You can think of your mind as a high performance sports car - you can drive it really hard, but when you're done using it, you have to stop and re-tune it for maximum performance.

You can also think of your mind like a computer - no matter how much good software you have installed, nothing will work as long you are infected with viruses.  Create a structured thinking system by first removing the negativity and then learning to think correctly.  When you have a clear and OPEN mind, no opinions or emotional beliefs about things, your mind is open to new ideas - only the beneficial thought structures are allowed to operate.  As Alan Watts says, don't plug your mental ears with your mental fingers.

There are so many awesome self help books out there, Rich Dad Poor Dad, The Science of Getting Rich, The Four Hour Work Week, Think And Grow Rich - these books have all the fucking answers in them, 'I was amazed when I started to read these as everything I did in the past to become successful was in these books.'  So why is it that so many people fail in life after reading these books?  The books have the answers, yet over 99% of people who read them, fail at achieving success.  These people have viruses infecting their computer, no matter how much good software they load, nothing will work until they get rid of the viruses.  You may achieve mediocre success in your life, but it won't be easy, and Abundant Success is definitely not guaranteed until you learn and master these Mindset principles.  Control your mind and how you feel - keep re-tuning and running the anti-viruses every day.  Time spent inside your mind is the best investment you could ever make, as it will pay dividends every single moment for the rest of your life.

"In the study of the way, each day something is dropped.  Less and less do you have to force things until finally you arrive at the place of non-action.  Where nothing is done, and nothing remains un-done." -Lao Tzu

(side note: you get to a point where you never have to ask yourself questions as the result occurs naturally without effort.  You will always have to re-tune every now and then, this is normal as we all fall into unconscious thought at times.  This Mindset stuff really is the key to creating and achieving whatever you desire in life)

3.  Setting Goals for yourself.

Most people do this wrong, even the best teachers out there teach it wrong.  The problem is that when people set goals for themselves, they see it as work.  When you see something as work, your subconscious feels it as something that's hard to do.  You won't achieve success until you can set goals and go about achieving them in the right way.  George Leonard's Mastery ;)  Trust me, you'll never see your goals if you don't set about them the right way, or feel inspired by them.

A goal is something you achieve in the future sometime - a Design is something you live right Now and enjoy immensely.

When you ask a successful person about their goals, you never really get a logical set answer.  The only response you get from them about what they're doing and how they do it, are the big picture emotions involved with that goal.  When you ask about the logical steps to get there, it's like you're speaking Chinese to them.  They always talk about the emotions, they convey the emotions to attaining that goal.  The small steps along the way, are just that - small steps that they don't even pay attention to - they're just a part of the journey.  They might not know it, but they feel about that goal as if they have already Achieved It - they already have it.  They are just allowing it time to come into reality.

When you're feeling Inspired and Compelled by a goal - every step along the way is just another task to achieving that bigger goal.

What do unsuccessful people do?  They choose a goal - "I'm going to be a master Investor, Real Estate mogul, Internet Marketing expert, Business magnate."  They take a few steps towards that goal, then they decide it's too difficult and choose something else.  They're stating to their subconscious mind, okay let's do this, no let's do that, no that doesn't work, let's do this.  Until they get comfortable with being a failure.

When you decide to go somewhere on vacation for example - say you decide to go to Europe.  Your travel agent / subconscious mind says, where is Europe?  This isn't a clear and defined goal - you can't buy a plane ticket to "Europe".  You tell it, the Eiffel Tower, your travel agent goes to work on the details of getting there, you have to work out all the logical steps to get there.  Then you change your mind and say you want to go to the Caribbean instead - your travel agent starts working on that.  Over and over do you change your mind and set bad goals until your travel agent / subconscious gets overloaded and pissed off.

You look at the goal, and you feel the emotions behind achieving that goal - and you stick with that goal until you work out (visualize without effort) all the steps required to get there, all the while focusing on how awesome it's going to be when you finally arrive - because you already have.  You don't focus on the boring stuff, they suck and will put you off.  Successful people, including the way I used to do it, and do it Now - focus only on the goal and the emotions that it brings while Knowing it will happen, as it is certain.  Everything that gets in the way is just an obstacle to learn from.  To begin again more intelligently.  Successful people only focus on what feels good in life - believe it or not, doing this guarantees success as thoughts have to find their vibrational match.

Again I'm quoting neuroscience and quantum physicists - your subconscious is very powerful and works in ways that you can't even begin to imagine or understand.  Your mere observation of things changes the result.  If you change the way you look at things, then the things you look at will change.  Every person is born with this ability - a Natural Success Mindset.  We lose this ability over time as society, teachers, parents, install sh*t onto our subconscious minds.  Relearn to use your mind correctly again, the way you did when you were a child - who focuses on the emotions of achieving the goal, doesn't let anything stand in their way, they don't get down on themselves, they learn the lesson from the negativity, let it go, and move on until they get it.

If somebody else can do it, so can you.  My mentor says he was told that the definition of a pioneer is somebody face down in the dirt with an arrow in his back ;P  Following a proven blueprint to success is a great way to achieve it; though my mentor did not heed that advice and is actually a pioneer himself.  'Whatever the mind can conceive and Know, it can Create.'  There is a huge difference between 'believing' and Knowing - to 'believe' something takes effort - Knowing is certain and requires no energy.  You have Know it, before you can have it.

Ask yourself if by you being rich, somebody else has to be poor.  This is a lack thought to your subconscious, you are basically telling yourself that you want more lack and scarcity in your life.  Change your thinking to 'I am getting rich, and in the process I making everybody else around me rich.'  You cannot resent successful people if you desire to be successful.  You have to be happy Now, if you 'want' to be happy later.  Thinking that you will be happy later after you have achieved your success is backwards thinking - you have to Know it, before you can have it.  Whenever you meet someone, silently send that person a blessing and see a positive outcome for them.  This kind of blessing is very powerful - practice silently wishing everyone you encounter joy, happiness & laughter.  This is using the law of giving and receiving.  Always go to give, never go to get.  By practicing abundance in your life Now, you will always be given more later.

There are two kinds of procrastination - active procrastination and bad procrastination.  The latter being caused by no clear definition of what you 'want' out of life - a fear of failure or some other deep self limiting belief - your fears are easily cured by regaining control of your mind and maintaining that control as described earlier in this article.  Most people set goals for themselves, get inspired and then fall right back into procrastination and laziness.  Again this is caused by NO CLEAR DEFINITION of your goals and not going about them in the right way (no visualization).  You have no gratitude in your life, you have no clear aspirations (I want to go to Europe, I want to be a millionaire), you don't feel inspired by anything; you wake up, get lazy and can't push yourself to do anything other than be told what to do by an employer.  Just because so many people fall victim to this does not make it right.

On the other hand, if you clearly define your goals, remove negativity from your life and your mind, you practice Gratitude for what you have and what you WILL receive - go about setting and obtaining your goals with your Natural Success Mindset - you will always wake up and be inspired, not let anything hold you back, and you WILL succeed in obtaining your goals in life.  This is Certain.  You will find that making money is actually very easy - nobody with a Successful Mindset should ever have to work more than 5 years of attaining Mastery in something unless they love what they do.  The difficult part is learning to hold on to that money and invest it (side note: this is incredibly important especially today given the state of our economies... I'd highly recommend not spending the money you make in the next few years and instead learn to invest and live off your ROI - spread your money around, don't leave it in bank accounts, learn how to make at least 3% monthly returns and hyper-compound until you have more money than you could possibly ever spend)

"Success is a journey, not a destination.  Success includes energy, enthusiasm for life, creative freedom, freedom, a sense of well being, fulfilling relationships, good health and of course material abundance.  Riches or material abundance just happen to make the journey more enjoyable.  Success is the ability to fulfill all our desires with effortless ease."

PRACTICAL STUFF!

"Creating what you desire is nothing more than planting a seed."

Okay this is a huge warning - if you attempt this advice without first working on controlling and clearing your mind, your success is 100% guaranteed to FAIL - I do not use this figure lightly, in all that I've seen in my study of successful people, there is no other way.  Go back and read the first two steps in this article, and go about working on them until you achieve Mastery with your Mindset.  Read books on Mindset, get Mentors who already have the skills, cut the people out in your life who hold you back, practice the Mindset techniques Every Day for weeks and months until you have total control of your mind, thoughts and the way you feel all the time.  You have been warned ;)

(the implication being that by reading this and 'trying' to apply it without getting rid of the 'viruses' in your head, you will see this, form an opinion about it and shrug it off as just something else you 'know' and it won't work - this stuff really is the magic to using your mind correctly... all the great teachers have taught this and all the successful people do this, even though they may not actually know it or convey it properly.. remember 99% of self help book readers FAIL)

Visualize the attainment of your goals.  'Take time to sit down and write what you want your life and business to be like.'  The key here is to write the emotions behind the goal --- you have to FEEL as if you have already acquired everything you've worked so hard to achieve.  Then you write out all the steps required to achieve that goal.  Put down as many as you can possibly conceive that take you towards that set goal.  You can imagine yourself in the future as if you have already achieved it - you are being interviewed by somebody who is asking you how you were able to achieve the life you have.  Feel great about these achievements and explain everything you did to get there.  'The more paths the better as each path you lay out gives your subconscious mind more evidence that the goal is possible.  This technique also helps you figure out other routes if the one you are following isn't working - you'll see that it is taking you away from your goal and your subconscious gives you another way.'  The steps are really not that important as they will always evolve and adapt over time.  What is important is the Knowing that the goal is Certain and you are always heading towards it.

'You just need to know the destination and supply some visualization of the steps to get there.  It is what we do on autopilot already; it is in our nature and we use it to succeed at everything big and small.  This is 'natural goal setting' and it really is the key to harnessing the full power of our subconscious.  If you desire success, you have to program your mind for it.  It isn't hard, it just requires you to slow down, use less effort, consider what your desired outcome is and then visualize you attaining this outcome.'

(side note: don't 'try' to seek success, you are looking to remove all Doubt that you that you will.  Whenever you notice Doubt - this is a lack statement to your subconscious - stop right there and eliminate that 'belief'.  If you were walking and stepped on a tack, you would stop, sit down and pull the tack out of your foot and not get back up until the pain had gone.  Doubt creates the Pain.  When you remove all traces of negativity and pain from your mind - then all that's left is room for Success.  Spend time evaluating your thoughts, 'beliefs', what you know to be true, and your emotions.  *Remove all traces of negativity and pain*  By Observing them and how they do not benefit you, allows them to dissolve.  Judgment is Weakness - Observation is Power.  All forms of negativity are merely illusions - fear, worry, anxiety, overwhelm, depression, etc. - become present and see that none of these are real or even exist when you are living in the Now.  Without obtaining full control over your own mind, you're allowing your ego to constantly broadcast the wrong thoughts and images to your subconscious mind - you MUST learn to have total control over what you think about if you desire to achieve your life goals.)

Here is the process in a nut shell.  Practice with small things at first - tasks you've been putting off or not looking forward to.  By starting with small things, you prove to yourself that you can achieve your desires.  'Your brain wants proof not promises'.  As you build your mental muscles, the large things get achieved effortlessly:
1.  See the job done - visualize the task being completed and how you will feel
2.  Visualize how you did it
3.  Visualize how easy it was when you finally did it
4.  Feel how you feel now that it's done
5.  feel Grateful that it's finished - enjoy this feeling of it being a done deal
6.  Consider what you must do to complete the task
7.  Consider each step of you completing it - visualize it
8.  See the job done - feel it all again, grateful for how easy it was.  You should have the feeling inside you that it's completed - feeling good that it's finished - certainty about it.  Its' important that you get this feeling about the task being completed to create the habit in your mind.

You'll find that achieving the goal is not what you were actually after, as retirement is boring.  All entrepreneurs know that the real fun lies in the act of bringing the goal into fruition.. not achieving the goal itself :)

Mindmaps are a great tool you can use for writing out and planning your goals.  Re-learn to use your imagination and be in touch with your intuition.  This is the only way to communicate with your subconscious which is very powerful as I've covered.  Your subconscious mind works a lot in the way like that movie Limitless - when you effectively communicate with it, and tell it what you desire, it goes about working for you in ways that are inconceivable to your logical conscious mind, and brings about what you ask for - it literally can bend reality - you don't have to believe me here, but the smartest scientists in the world today will agree with these statements.  Magic is just science we don't yet understand.  Everybody has the mind of a genius, yet almost nobody knows how to use it correctly as they are unconscious, negative, and have no control over their own emotions and thoughts.  Einstein had the breakthrough on his theory of relativity while he lay in bed and his subconscious mind comes up with the idea.  Archimedes discovered density as he sat in his bath.  Eckhart Tolle was suicidal and gave up on life when he felt Enlightenment.  Take a look at just about any great and brilliant idea from anybody in history, and you'll find that it was discovered in a state of No Mind.

If you follow these core principles I've covered, keep learning from other successful people along the self development lifestyle, and Apply the teachings - your success is certain.  Luck is nothing but preparedness and opportunity coming together, so stack the deck in your favor.  Keep designing your life, create through conscious intention, all the while being detached from the outcome - live in a state of already having achieved your goals.  'When work, commitment and pleasure all become one, and you reach that deep well where passion lives, nothing is impossible.'

Good Luck to all of your desires and goals in life.  May you all succeed and be happy.

Cheers

EDIT:

You know what.  I just realized I never gave credit to the person who taught me all of this.  If you've read this article and found any value in it, or anything else I've ever posted here, go and read this book immediately:

A Bug Free Mind by Andy Shaw
www.abugfreemind.com

These books taught me how to eliminate all negativity, fear, worry, anxiety, etc from my mind and my life - plus so much more.  I'm invulnerable to negativity - nothing affects my internal state as I don't allow it.  It's unfair to negative people who come at me to attack as it's a one sided fight - they're still vulnerable to attack while I'm untouchable.  It really is awe-inspiring and amazing to have this power with your mind.  I feel good always, make other people around me feel good, create wealth effortlessly, and only good things happen to me in life.  I'm not just saying these things to make myself feel good - I live this as a way of life.  And I wish for you to experience this as well.

All the best.  Cheers.

Since reading this op I've

Since reading this op I've started noticing my own attitude towards tasks that I am proficient at and that I succeed at regularly.  It is very much like what you describe above: when I first observe the task before me, I feel a tinge of excitement, the feeling of imminent success. Instantly I create a visualization which includes the steps to success, the action, the completion and outcome. I can see and feel myself doing the thing as im beginning to do it. The success is a foregone conclusion. I'm starting to see the power of this mindset. The problem it seems is that when its a task that is uncomfortable or unfamiliar we put up imaginary barriers that supersede the natural success visualization sequence (for lack of a better term). We get derailed by our own mind.

A.j. you got it exactly right

A.j. you got it exactly right - that's natural goal setting exactly.  We all do this naturally, some people just have it more than others.  It's YOUR mind, so as you get better at this, you can implement your own understandings to get it done more efficiently; keep practicing on small things and you'll strengthen your ability to do this, then your bigger life designs/goals get accomplished effortlessly.  Just remember the important part is the visualization and the Knowing that it is Certain (there's no effort involved in knowing it will be completed).

Now the barriers that come up, that's the importance of going through the mind control part first.  You guys are still young, so you'll have less barriers to get through.  If your ego at any time during the process jumps in and gives you Doubt - observe that doubt as it will sabotage you if you don't deal with it.  The key is to elminate any doubt or negativity created by your ego.

Cheers

I think there's another

I think there's another adoption of this exercise you can do.. where you see your goal and the steps to get there, but you also picture and visualize the consequences. You pick the outcome.. this helps you feel more secure so you just go for it without hesitation. And what's happening is your brain/behavior is subconsciously aiming in the direction of the outcome/consequences you want.

For example, as a dating and lifestyle coach, there's always been the bizarre success barrier (and this is incredibly widespread) of not wanting to attract too much attention to ourselves.. because we can't control what kind of attention it is. E.g. we could get labeled in so many different ways, and have actually already been labeled in so many negative ways.. but when you picture beforehand how you want to be perceived.. this starts to happen as well.

Added this to my bookmarks

It's great I discover a Big negative pattern after reading all this : judgemental toughts about other people around wherever I go again, I believed it was like a cycle, but it's nothing other than a thought.

Filtering these destructive pattern by changing my beliefs : get always a good outcome from the person you interacted with or the girls you fucked,

interesting new belief

also found that so useful in my case :

1. Do they like me? No

2. Do I feel bad about it? Yes

3. Does this help me? No

Pure Gold post, thank you very Much man, I send you a blessing ;)

@movingeyebrows thought

@movingeyebrows thought freedom technique :)  awesome isn't it?

These simple thought structures are designed to bypass your ego.  It's using the Law of Least Effort, there's no energy lost in dealing with it and you can go about your life feeling Grateful for the lessons ;)

Jon, awesome observation on designing - why it's important to clearly define your end result.  I'll do another post later going in more detail on the Life Design / goal setting with your subconscious.

When you clearly define your end result and the steps along the way, you employ the Law of Least Effort and allow your subconscious to solve any problems for you along the way.  All the right people get delivered to you at the precise exact time, opportunities open up for you, etc.  It really is magic, there's no other way to explain the 'coincidences'.  Stuff happens that goes way off the logic radar ;)

Couple thought structures:

-I believe = doubt & effort
-I Know = no doubt & no effort - total certainty no matter what, it's going to happen
identify a doubt in your design:
1) when you feel a doubt - Ask if you really wanted this, if yes go to step 3
2) if No - then well done, just stop going after it - go back and create another design
3) Either move on straight away or re-experience the design again UNTIL there is NO DOUBT that you want this and know you will achieve it
-By removing doubt, you are left with embodying certainty - manifesting happens automatically and the ego has no more power to stop you

identify some success you've had, run it through this process and see how well it fits
identify something you desire, run it through this process and see how it feels:
1) look at your design
2) can you see the consecutive steps as if they have already happened (how doesn't matter)
3) can you replay in your mind and feel no doubt - can I see this happening? contemplate on the blanks - add in more data and replay until there is no more doubt
-this creates Success on Autopilot
-switches on your RAS which uses your subconscious mind in the easiest way (Law of Least Effort) and makes manifesting this desire compelling --- you feel pulled toward your desire as if it were attached to you.  Your ego shuts down and can't stop you

"As example, when I first started getting into Eckhart's teachings I became really present and good at 'no mind' - but what happens is, you lose your old mental identity and then you form a new one as this 'enlightened' present to the moment type of person who already 'knows' this stuff."

Well said.  That is what happened to me.

I formed an identity based around "knowing" everything.  Doesnt work.

Thanks for the post,  very well said.

yo mang, super happy you

yo mang, super happy you posted this in the other dudes thread on getting money. Otherwise I would have never stumbled on it.

Have read though this stuff already thrice since then. And I'm still excited about it. I KNOW this advice will play a key role in my next big steps up in life.

Will practice the shit out of these exercises in the coming months.

I think one of the reason this made me so excited, because I never thought it realistic to have that much mind control. And so I never even aimed at it. And I meditate regularly already and it does so much for me.  But this would still be something entirely different. and  somehow you managed to convince me that indeed it is possible. And if THIS is possible, I will get it!

And then the visualiation stuff is just something I had been thinking lately I was missing out on, but wasn't really sure how to go on about. And pooof, here comes the solution. Great. great, Great.

I still got a big stupid smile on my face as Im writing this. Ha! So thanks a lot for this and good luck to you.  I hope you  already got those multi-millions rolling again for you ;)

Will report back come time with results.

Okay, you didn't leave much

Okay, you didn't leave much info here so I'll just explain this broadly.  This is a very powerful skill to master, so listen and apply.

Alright, don't 'try' to visualize, this isn't the important part anyway.  If you 'try' and force visualization, then that's exactly what you'll get, more trying and forcing.  If at any time you ever feel like you're 'trying' or forcing something, then stop and do something different.

I understand that some people think they have trouble, that's fine.  They're just over thinking it.  We all visualize automatically - think of your car, refrigerator, a flower - instantly your mind sees a picture.  So it's not an issue of not being able to do it.  When we were children, we would daydream all the time about cool stuff, we just seem to lose as we get older from non-use.

But for sure, getting really good at using your mind to visualize situations or experiences in detail, takes some practice.  But don't worry about all that, the only thing that matters is the feeling or End Result.

Okay so to get good at feeling the right emotions - feeling grateful - just take some memories of something small, nothing over the top.  It can be something simple, like having a drink with a friend at the pub.  Something small and insignificant that made you feel good.

My mentor said something about this awhile back:
"Slow it down. Replay the day in your mind as if you were there again but doing it in slow motion. Where were you, stop looking at what you saw, and look around at what you didn't see. Look around where you were. Do just a few minutes before and a few minutes after. You are being there again. It's a very emotional thing when it is such a wonderful moment and the more you go into it the more it will lose the feeling of a sad representation. What's happening there is your ego is fighting it and causing that feeling. Basically do not give the pri*k the satisfaction of tainting that memory in any way. Go and experience it, you were there after all, so all you are doing is remembering."

It's basically your ego getting in the way of your progress here, not allowing you to feel right.  Be aware of your ego 'trying' to stop you and just observe it's irrational behavior.

Bring in a positive memory at least 4 times per day, this will give you massive power.  Or by holding 15 minutes of positive uninterrupted thought every day, you'll become invulnerable to negativity.

Okay, and if you're having trouble visualizing something you desire, a project being completed -- remember the point is the END RESULT or how you will feel, not the details.

Keep focusing on the end result.  The details or the how do not matter so much, they'll work themselves out automatically.  How do you feel now that you have what you desire in life?  Now that you're living financially free and experiencing your life, it feels good right?  You feel grateful right?  It's a done deal and was easier than you thought.  Enjoy that feeling.  Or "How do I feel now that this project is completed?" etc.

Here's something you should do everyday - step into the greatest version of yourself, this is really simple.  You guys go out a lot, so I'm sure you've experienced being in flow state when you're approaching lots of girls.  Remember a time when you were fully in state, just completely confident and feeling good.  Think of how your voice sounded, your posture, your facial expression, just completely confident, relaxed and feeling good, vibing and gaming girls.  Slow it down and see yourself there, then just step inside of yourself and take on all those qualities.  Feels good.

The visualization gets easier and easier with continued use, but it's not important, all that matters is how you feel.  So allow yourself to feel really good often.  In fact, don't ever allow yourself to feel bad, there's no point.  You should always be delighted with yourself.  "Any negative feelings are just signals for you to flip to feeling good."  So just reach for the thought that feels best.  But don't 'try' to think positive.  "The aim of the wise is not to secure pleasure, but to avoid pain."

Not only is this the way to design your life or achieve a particular desire, but this is also the best and easiest way to take control of your mind.  It's really just a focus, choosing to stick with one thought that YOU chose, and not let your ego think about something else (usually it makes you feel bad).  Using this skill is also the best way to install behavior change in your subconscious mind.  There are tons of reasons why gratitude is beneficial, but the most important is it's use in getting exactly what we desire in life - it's a direct connection to your subconscious mind which does all the hard work for you.  Your conscious mind (what you consciously use and are aware of) doesn't even come to close to what your subconscious is capable of.  Figure out how to use it right and you'll get whatever you desire easily and effortlessly.

Yes excellent. I'm sure you already do visualizations about soccer, this will be your gateway to the whole thing. Visualizing and breaking down particular stretches of your game.. why you could have/should have moved the ball this way or that, how you could have succeeded in getting the ball past a certain defender or how the team as a whole could have made a play work out rather than lose control of the ball, etc.

This is exactly what the book Psychocybernetics is essentially about. It actually used a study on soccer, getting the ball in once, and visualizing about it 20 minutes each day, ad Comparing it to actual practice of an hour each day. I dont remember the numbers but I do remember the visualization and the actual work were a literal percent off from eachother.

All the best players I know are obsessed with watching soccer, playing fifa, creating new set plays , etc. I think this kinda stuff mentally prepares us to perform, kinda like how nightmares are thought to be there to prepare us for real danger.

You know what.  I just

Cheers.

I got both.  And I would

I got both.  And I would defintely recommend the books first.  As when you read, you have time to stop, think about it, re-read and apply before moving on.

These aren't "normal" books, in the way that you read them once and then you're done.  You're never actually finished reading these books, unless you were raised by successful parents to think this way.

I read, and when I don't have time to sit down and give my full attention, I listen to the audios (current chapter on repeat).
