Shitty first kiss - Is it game over?
Had a first date with this super nerdy chick...cute but nerdy. She was awkward as fuck. We kissed but it was awkward as fuck too... her lips were all dry and cracked and my mouth was kinda dry and I wasn't that into it. She abruptly ended the date after. I texted her the day after asking if she got home safe, normally she texts back right away but she took hours to respond.
Should I bother re-engaging or did the bad kiss ruin it?

If it really was awkward I would call her out. She could open up a little. It sounds like this might not even be worth salvaging so you could at least start understanding why it was so awkward from her POV. What was awkward about the date to you?
Well for starters when I first met her I was going to give her a hug but she quickly stuck out her hand for a handshake. She also seemed nervous and uptight but slowly started loosening up. We bounced to a second bar and were going to bounce to a third but after I kissed her she said let's call it a night.
She comes from an acedemic background so I don't think she goes out much...
I think her awkwardness rubbed off on me which probably made the kiss shitty too...

Yeah I would send it. Either it will force her to open up because youv'e rightfully stripped her of feminine validation (in cases like this it's ok), or she will just find somewhere to curl up into a ball and die. Either one would be fine
