I've been a student of RSD for a couple years now and I've never actually added anything to the community. I actually feel a little selfish for that, so I've decided post this in case it might help some newbies.

I always see guys posting how their game boosted to awesome levels when they began meditating. I'd like to add my experience in case guys who are new to RSD begin to get confused by the idea of meditation. The problem with meditating is that people begin to think that you have to sit quietly in a room by yourself in order to meditate. This can be a distraction to becoming completely aware and present. It should be understood that meditation (i.e. being present in the now) can take place anywhere and all the time.

Back when I was in college I used to be incredibly shy and turned to Zen meditation for help. I quickly found myself having panic attacks in social situations because I didn't understand how to stay present other than sitting quietly in a Zen posture and monitoring by breathing.

I'd recommend that anyone having trouble with the idea of sitting down for 20 minutes a day get an audio copy of Eckhart Tolle's Practicing The Power of Now. Listen to it over and over again until you begin to understand what the fuck he's talking about. Eckhart translates the Eastern idea of meditation into everyday life of our Western culture.

The problem with most meditators is they think meditation is something that you do. That meditation is trying to reach a particular state of mind. This is a fallacy.

Meditation is to simply break the constant stream of thought that most of us have, and to become present to the moment.

The single most valuable piece of advice I received from Eckhart, is that it's better to have a whole bunch of mini-meditations throughout your day rather than one long meditation. It doesn't matter how long you meditate, it matters more how often you can break the constant mental noise going on in your head. The length of your presence will come naturally.

Throughout your day, stop and take a couple deep breaths while focusing on how your stomach expands and contracts with each breath. Feel the air going in and out of your body. Then bring attention to the feeling in your inner body; feel the energy in your hands, feet, stomach, etc. When you can feel the energy in your body, hold that feeling and look around where you are. Don't interpret or label anything in your mind, just look. The more you do this, the easier it gets, and before long you'll notice yourself slip into “no mind” without trying. You begin to notice how often you do things unconsciously; you begin to break the habit of completing simple tasks without knowing. Everything you do begins to take up value... simple tasks like walking across the room or taking a sip of water. You begin to notice the background. You'll find yourself stunned in complete peace gazing at the beauty of the world and everything in it. In this state of presence, people are drawn to you. All negativity in daily life ceases to exist in your reality. This is the essence of meditation.

If the idea of scheduling 20 minutes out of your day to sit down seems like a chore, you definitely need to listen to Eckhart Tolle speak. It just occurred to me that most people who need this advice won't ever make it reading this far... lol. Meditation is simply about being completely present to the moment. Your thoughts, emotions, environment are all just objects in consciousness.

There is nothing wrong with sitting down quietly to meditate, in fact this kind of meditation will accelerate your awareness. Just don't fall into the trap of thinking meditation is only when you sit down quietly... and when you finish and get up, you go right back into unconsciousness. Keep yourself grounded in presence by practicing meditation all the time.

The deeper you become present in your day to day life, the quality of everything and everyone around you changes. Don't look at meditation as something that you have to do, make being completely present to the moment a part of your life – the same way attracting women should be a part of your personality.

Apart from learning the core fundamentals of RSD, Eckhart Tolle was the biggest change in my life. It isn't something that just helps your pickup game, it improves every single aspect of your life.

A couple years ago, I hit up an old high school buddy on facebook to say what's up. I ended being roommates/business partners with him for a few months and he introduced me to RSD. That dude was Manwhore. Anyone looking for help in their game, I'd definitely recommend looking into some of his coaching programs.

No, he actually doesn't like guys who use presence solely to seduce women. He sees it as using the power of presence to gain egotistical want. Not becoming truly present.

A lot of people think becoming present or 'spiritual' makes you a weak little bitch. Lol. Let me explain why Eckhart Tolle is good for pickup and social interactions in general.

He teaches how to transmute what he calls the pain body, or negative energy, into presence. You learn to transmute negative energy in a social interaction into positive energy and lead the interaction whichever way you want it to go.

If you ever feel approach anxiety before speaking to a girl, good! You can turn that anxiety into positive energy. When you learn to not identify mentally with negative emotions, you accept at that moment that you are feeling negative energy. When you accept it, the energy is released. That energy doesn't disappear. You turn it into whatever you want. Pain into presence. Weakness into strength.

Deal with negative energy from other people. They'll expect a negative reaction, but you don't react and stay present. It's almost as if they get confused when you don't react negatively. You turn the energy there into whatever you want. You lead the interaction.

Pass shit tests, fuck with chodes. It's fun, and only adds to your positive energy when you can see that you can dominate any kind of situation that life throws at you.

Athletes do this all the time. They take the positive energy from spectators to stay focused and perform. Great athletes go further. They take negative energy that they feel and turn it into intense focus.

Eckhart's this funny looking 60 year old dude, but he's married this cute Asian chick. He explains it's okay to go after want, sexual desire, etc. Just don't get lost in it – don't derive an identity in your mind out of what you do. “I am an alpha male that gets mad pussy.” That's identification. Let go of the need to understand anything. Just allow this moment to be. Just, “I am.” If he ever decided to give into ego and had a huge sexual drive, I guarantee he would be one of the best pickup artists of all time. The dude is a genius. But yeah, you can see why becoming present is a good thing for pickup. And the collective consciousness of society as a whole if you go deep enough with it.
