It contains hydrocarbon benzene rings, a known carcinogen. Hydrocarbons are the main oily pollutant associated with known cancer epidemics and environmental toxicity associated with industrial pollution. Even the adverse effects of Agent Orange are linked to its hydrocarbon content.

Also, I highly doubt the validity of this recent VA study purporting to negate the effects of chloroquine as a treatment for COVID-19. VA patients are typically much older than "normal" patients, and generally have a myriad of health conditions that weaken their health and immune systems.
