I've never been one to keep statistics/percentages etc. in any area of my life but I think this kinda stuff will help me a lot. Information is power and in most shit that I've done in my life- keeping notes and meticulously figuring out where my success and failures are coming from, is not something I've done.
Anyone real dedicated to this kind of stuff? I'd be curious how you go about doing this kinda thing- both for pickup and other areas of your life. Is it something that has really helped you improve or do you think it's more just your personal preference?
It's not something I actively WANT to do but it's something that I'm realizing could be VERY beneficial to start doing in every aspect of my life. So I'm curious to hear from people who are stat nerds

Honestly though, my game did take a leap after my years in internet marketing where I started naturally recognizing trends and patterns. Whereas before I was a "natural" (pff) who didn't pay attention to details, lol.

Yeah I had a similar thing
Yeah I had a similar thing happen with poker, back when I played. I was "okay" just learning strategy and playing a lot but after I started working with a stat tracker (which did all the compiling for me) I was able to improve a TON more (Never actually got THAT good lol)... but then I got bored of playing poker so much and basically haven't played since cause it was just so fucking boring lol
I think the issue, for me, with keeping statistics is the discipline that it takes- I can be pretty undisciplined so I just gotta make sure that I stick to it and be less of a retard on occasion.
