I got a couple Indian people creating mockups for the supersite it's just going to be streamlined as much as possible, e.g. the look and layout, but the site that's going tutu sort of replace manwhore.org I'm looking for some inspired design.
Indians are pretty bad at design... their sense of design is years behind.
lots of competent Indian coders but its very rare to find a quality designer from India(. In fact its hard to find a quality web designer period.
A quality web designer know's the ins and outs of coding, and how websites work. Typically most people who call themselves web designers have no business touching websites. Most of them don't even plan for responsive design, and the site ends up looking like shit on one device or the other.
Invest in a high quality designer that you can talk to on skype.
Ideally the same person/team should do both design and development as that means they're on the same page.
You shouldn't worry about spending money on a quality website because that'll save a ton down the road in terms of ensuring everything runs smooth and the site is mobile friendly, secure, and converts well.
By mockups I mean wireframes they won't be doing any of the coding or designing.

Yeah this has been my experience as well lol. They are VERY good at the technical side of things but design... THPTPTPTPTPT :((((
I had some Indians doing my site originally and then I realized they had no clue what they were doing, so I decided to do it myself and just have them code it. They seriously fucked up the design I GAVE THEM! ...ballz
