That being said- I'm also starting to get a lot more solid responses... or at least SOME response...

EDIT: One thing I've started to do that has cut down on flakes is bringing it up DURING the interaction... like at some point just being like, "Are you going to flake on me?" or something similar... it sounds kinda needy/bitchy but coming from a dude like you- it isn't needy or bitchy, so it will be coming from the right place and is almost more just like demanding and sorta cocky/playful cause deep down you KNOW she isn't going to flake

I think, in some respects, we are in very similar places (you really are better than me.. but we have a lot of the same issues at times)

It probably has something to do with the congruence between the way we text and the way we act in person.. but yeah, nothing really to add or help... just reiterating that I hear your frusteration, dude.

I like it and will definitely try it but i'm really all about developing a natural style of texting. My text game at the moment is kind of gimmicky as well but i'd like to be able to overcome multiple objections to get the date. If you reduce yourself to a couple of lines you're really limiting your potential.

Your right about the natural style, but I have this system of putting numbers in my phone were I put PF (potential flake) next to there name so I can use that type of text game on them, girls that I've hooked pretty solidly I usually run natural game where I invite them out for coffee

lol I think part of the issue is that, for katalsy (and for me- I relate sooo much to this) like soooo many of the numbers that flake on me are sets where I would have written next to the name, "Absolutely no chance of flake"...

Ha i love how you define exactly what i feel - like even when i read your thread there are certain points where I'm like - YEAH i know EXACTLY what feeling you have.... @katalyst - Try just saying hi whats up and to these same numbers and tell us if they respond. Then slowly amp it up versus being playful right off the bat. These girls dont know you and so might be just super misinterpreted by them. Transitioning slowly might let them get familiarized to your sense of humor.

First, can you tell us which girl this was that was begging you to hit her up? Where is that text convo.

Ok so you said cocky-funny isnt working for you, but it is for manwhore. I'd like to point out though that I think manwhore's texts are different than yours.

I haven't seen him send a text like "Its hot outside because the earth revolves around me- Manwhore." Could you imagine him sending this to a girl?
I don't, I don't think it's his style. If you want to emulate him which is what I try to do, I would suggest using callback humor that relates specifically to the girl. You should post the content of some of these conversations and maybe I can craft some texts specific to these girls.

From what I know about game, girls don't want cocky texts that haven't had thought put in to them, i.e. "Im sitting here looking like six pack shakur in this ho fo sho," "the world revolves around me" etc. Also, if she didn't respond to the first text, she's not going to respond to "Im sitting here on the patio."

(If I remember correctly there was a thread on here a while ago where someone pointed out the futility of the six pack shakur text.)


Like dude obviously these opening texts of yours aren't working so try something else, i.e. some humor about what you talked about.

ex) I met a girl at walmart earlier this summer and only talked for a little bit, chodey type shit like where shes from and if she goes to school i dont even remember, but at the end I hi fived her at we had some sick-nasty eye contact. Now me realizing that that had been pinnacle of the interaction, I sent her a text about that. Here is an excerpt from the thread:

So Im working at this summercamp this summer and we went to walmart to get costumes.

Saw this cute girl looking at fabrics so immediately I went in-

me: Are these bandanas?
her: Uhh i think so
me: ok cuz i need to dress up like an animal
her:...

I see you also used a text similar to mine in my "Summerfest girl" thread. Mine was: "Girl I'm bout to rob McDonald's. Don't tell ur boss"
yours was: "I'm about to go rob McDonalds....don't tell ur manager"

First off did this hipster chick actually work at McDonald's? Because if not then you totally used that text in the wrong context. I sent mine because she works at Mcdonalds. You should read the threads carefully and try to see why things are working/not working (forgive me if thats already totally obvious). But seriously my text would have been dumb if she hadn't worked there.

Second, (and this is just my opinion) your version of that text completely lacks authority and conviction, which I think mine had. Using "...." everywhere just makes you look like you're unsure of yourself. You do NOT look like a badass here. To me it looks like you were nervous/unsure of yourself in all these texts with the "......". Also in your McDonalds text, you say "I'm ABOUT TO GO rob mcdonalds." This is just not as quick, concise, and does not have as much conviction in it as my version. Like I said just my opinion though and I'm just trying to point out some things that MAY or may not be hurting you. Lol, you asked for it so here it is.

Practice taking out unnecessary words.

I think you should read my "summerfest girl" thread. It's a decent example of a girl I met somewhere that responded well to me over text.
Also my 'another okc girl' has a lot of good texts in it too thanks to manwhore. Although obviously it was started online not in person.

I havent been able to meet many girls at this camp im at but Im going to start posting more FR's and stuff when I get back to civilization which will be cool.

Ok let me answer some of your questions in order because some of the things you say directly contradict what Manwhore has taught me about text game BUT i don't want you to stray from what you're doing if it's working.

No no the hipster girl does not work at McDonalds. She goes on tour and actually really has her shit together... I used the McDonalds line on her for several reasons

1. becuz i thought it was funny as shit and i thought to myself "i would say some dumb shit like this in person".
2. I'm lazy and couldn't think of anything witty to say to her
3. Because you used it :) - and i'm dead serious

Never thought the "....." thing was a bad thing. I actually used it because I didn't want to send multiple text messages. i am trying to practice the power of brevity when it comes to text messaging but what i usually have to say or convey usually needs multiple text messages unfortunately. At the same time i do need to practice taking un-necessary words out..

I mean "girl I just got home..now I'm in my boxers looking like 6 pack shakur in this ho fo sho" feels like it has more impact than "home now. in my boxers looking like 6 pack shakur". That's my opinion and I could be dead ass wrong. You know what fuck it - i'm going to field test it and see if it garners more replies. The 6 pack shakur line is silly but it's pretty congruent to how i am in field.

I remember the futility of the convo where I was being too cocky with the "6 pack shakur" line amongst other and buddah and manwhore were ripping more because i was wayyy too cocky and trying to be something that i'm not.
