Nat - 1 day 12 hrs later: I had my African archaeology test today and now I'm studying for my ancient maya one on Thursday. So many flowcharts.
Me - 1 hr 9 mins later: Oohh flow charts. Fun!!!! :P That sounds way over my head. What's your degree?
Nat - 1 hr 24 mins later: Archaeology. Aka the most useless degree known to humanity. But it's so interesting
Me - 32 mins later: Hmm I've never met anyone in archeology. You probably should have been a paleontologist.

Nat - 36 mins later: It's a fraud. A) December 21 simply represents the start of a new calendar cycle for the maya. Not the end of the world. B) there is no agreed upon date for the start of the last cycle, it's one of thee according to epigraphers, so December 21st is one of three dates that would begin the new cycle
Me - 10 mins later: Epigrapher is a profession? Just learned something new today.
Me: I'll probably still use the end of the world as a good excuse to party on December 20.

Ugh, the order of the texts is all fucked. Going to fix it quickly.
UPDATE: Fixed. The times still are off. Some texts are immediately after each other and a some are a few hours later. First text was Friday night and the last text was sent last night (Tuesday).
I met this cutie at a bar on Friday. Talked some bullshit for 15-20 mins before she had to leave.
Here are my first thoughts on this convo:
1) I just finished reading that bb.com misc thread and had to put that joke in. It flopped, but I don't think it killed me. Reading back, there were some good opportunities to take the convo some other directions, but I kept pounding forward with that joke.
2) I thought the start of the convo was OK. A little playful with a bit of "get to know you" stuff.
3) I'm not sure where to go with texts because she can't meet up this week. I don't make plans more than a 2-3 days in advance so I'm not going to arrange something for next week yet. Would you guys just stop texting her until closer to next week or keep sending some comfort buillding and joking texts?
4) She's definitely controlling the frame in the last few texts.
5) I'll probably reopnen with a picture of a hockey game I'm going to tonight. (Fuck you NHL)
