How do you put yourself in "high value man" shoes?

I've been starting back into gaming, and immediately I notice I'm coming across like a needy bitch. Qualifying myself, leaving the ball in their court, etc. I can't seem to pinpoint where I should be coming from to be "high value".
So far I'm working on "letting her experience me", expressing what I want, and what I don't want. I keep going back into "chase her" mode and I'm hardly getting replies back.
I have SHIT phone/text/online game, but put me in a room with a few girls and I will do a lot better. (Slow now days but at least I can adjust my vibe much easier)
