Actually let me qualify that OP article link.. the dangers of permeability its describing are a bit far-fetched in some instances, like the metals or whatnot it's describing. But as far as the info it gives you on maintaining proper brain health and describing the actual physical and biological characteristics of the blood-brain barrier it's quite accurate.
Also you should check out JRE podcast with David Sinclair(a longevity expert/scientist).Great info on how things work on a celullar level.Currently i m testing on my own ass Resveratrol +NADH+...plus some trace minerals(cal,mag,zinc)...Which are in liquid form and the best way to absorb them.I m about to open my yt channel about nutrition and lifestyle tips so i m kind of geek with this stuff.
