This is a great little tool to use when you are making any sort of relatively "major" life decision. Additionally, it's an amazing tool to use when considering any activity/goal/value that you hold close to your heart. Having an unwaivering sense of self-trust is a beautiful quality to have, but, personally, it's tools like this that, at the end of the day, allow me to have that unwaivering level of trust in myself, becuase I know that I have asked myself some tough questions.

Here it is- very simple:

This tool was actually orginally developed by Toyota (the car company) and It’s very simple and really cuts to the core of why we want something. The idea is that when you want to accomplish something (or if something goes wrong), you ask one why.

Then, with whatever answer you come up with, you ask why to that answer. And so on, five times.

Try it out - I find it to basically be an automatic thing that I do, for most significant decisions.

I am eating healthy because I

I am eating healthy because I want to learn how to have self respect for myself through making healthy eating choices.

Because i deserve to love myself and treat myself with respect

Because i am worth taking care of

Because I am a human being

Because that's the way I was born

LOL - that's my breakdown of why I am eating healthy.  Kinda interesting.
